Hi..I'm seeking assistance in locating a Highland Regimental reenactment group to join. I'm in Northern Virginia, and seeking a group specializing in the French and Indian, Revolutionary and/or Napoleonic Wars. If you know of such a reenactment group in or around Virginia, please contact me at KabirFeidh@aol.com, or feel free to call me at (703) 365-7873, or (703) 623-7625. Thanks!

Greetings from an old Light Bob. Was at 200th Long Island, Pell's Point, Princeton, Monmouth, etc. with Lt. Michalski's platoon. Wish we had computers in those days for ease of communication & exchange of information. Might want to sell some equipment some day.

I’m searching for a regimental history of the 29th Foot. My particular period of interest is 17th April 1785 to 24th February 1801. The dates are the period of service for my GGGG Grandfather Sgt. Michael Allum. Many Thanks.

Recently received information that brothers, Samuel and George Bird served in the Staffordshire Regiment in 1900. Is there any way I can verify this information and learn more about the activities of the regiment around the turn of the century? Thank you in advance for any help.

very good site of the 64th Regiment of Foot. One question though is how did this regiment earn the name of the Black Knots? I have recently joined a computer war club and I am assigned to this Regiment. thanks

Dear Sir, I would like to greatly commend you on the richness and depth of your website. I know it must have taken a lot of work to put forth, however, I can readily see that all of your group seeks and indeed, strives for perfection. It shows in the pictures as well as your site. Thank you for letting me have a small glimpse of what goes on within your group.ever in your service, I am,Alan O. Stanley

Loyal Greetings to the Commander of The 64th Regiment of Foot, his Officers and Men; from the Colonel of The Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's). Having known of the "Black Knots" for many years, I was very pleased to discover your excellent web site which I have throughly enjoyed browsing. Truly an outstanding advertisement for our Regiment. I took over as Colonel of the Regiment in January this year and would very much like to discuss, with Michael Grenier (if he is on-line?), our initial thoughts for the Tercentenary in 2005.Please contact me direct.Regards.Simon K

Great website; I really learned a lot! I recently learned that my ancestors were mostly Loyalists so I'm enjoying reading up on them and the King's troops...We need to rejoin Great Britain!
