Trout Unlimited's Beliefs

TU believes that wild trout and clear, cold streams are nature's symbols of environmental quality; wild trout are living proof of the health of our freshwater resources. We believe that only by preserving the water quality necessary for trout and salmon can we guarantee the high quality water supply so vital for our community's future drinking, recreational, and industrial needs. Sound land and water management practices and enjoyment of our environment go hand in hand--what is good for the coldwater resources is, in the final analysis, good for everyone.
