Mission

The Henrico Education Foundation, Inc. is committed to being the primary private sector partner in supporting public education in the Henrico County community by providing programs which encourage educational innovation, promote excellence, recognize outstanding achievements of students, staff, and alumni, and create extended educational opportunities and support where public funds are not available.

Goals

In the pursuit of our mission, the Henrico Education Foundation commits to create and develop programs and support roles in four areas:

1. Creation of activities and events which support the accomplishments of its students, teachers, and graduates
2. Development of grants which support individual classrooms and/or schools to broaden:
   • teacher learning opportunities
   • innovations at the school level
   • educational opportunities for students
3. Development of business and community partnerships in support of schools
4. Development of information and communication strategies that will lead to a more thorough understanding of the importance of public education and that support the school division in its public communication efforts
